While Apples’ new iPhone OS 4 rumours still doing the rounds this news has turned out to be unexpected and pleasantly surprising. Apples’ Dev team is working on a new Webkit framework currently named Webkit2. This one runs browser elements as separate processes quite similar to Googles’ Chrome. At the same time it is built into the foundation of the framework allowing other non-Safari clients to use it, prompting the devs to say that its even better than Chrome.
This one news might turn out to be bigger than the iPhone OSthing as its the most prevalent across all mobiles and Chrome itself using it.Its not yet officially announced, but a word is expected soon. Its all open source so keep your eyes open for this one.
